I designed this calendar when I was a student at Wilcox Tech back in 1954. The subjects are black and white portraits of those men who gave us our freedom and helped to form the United States of America. This calendar was first printed and used for the year 1958, and is also the same calendar for the years 1969,1975,1986,1997 and also 2008.
After I designed the art work, linoleum blocks were then cut to allow the letter press printing
of the calendar. This was printed while I was at the Art Center School.
I have always been proud that Mr. Lohrmann
asked me to design this calendar.
