I started painting American people, places and objects that I loved from my days with Mr. Lohrmann.
You will see in all of my work, a love for the human form. It was a passion started in me, by him, in our weekly Friday afternoon figure drawing classes, and also the once a month day of portrait drawing, that was interjected as a surprise, into the week's of strict schedule that we each had, and followed. I found it thrilling at the moment when the paper, board, or canvas would snap into the identity of not anyone, but that person, that human being, that soul I am drawing.
It is like eating chocolate, you just must have more, but it is less fattening.
